SLK 350

It was in 1997 that the Mercedes Benz SLK 350was launched and from that time its small car wonders which has been easily fooling people with its innovative design and looks, thinking car to be very different. Initially the SLK was named just SL but later the successor of SLK 2005 shifted its attention from SLR McLaren. Looks are very important for most of the sports car buyers but the SLK 350 is generally taken as very expensive in the Mercedes-Benz category because its exotic looks and is best thing to be assumed. This is phenomenon of mistaken identity which worked very well due to which 500,000 SLKs are sold worldwide in just a model’s lifetime.

Features of the new SLK
SLK 350 has similar prices to Chevrolet Corvette, Porsche Boxster and BMW Z4. SLK 350 is great and is mostly relaxed than other cars. It was not in earlier versions that the performance and handling in SLK were very promising with its looks too. This SLK 350 is very sporty having elements of sports car but the car is not very hard car like the Boxster.  It even does not have the superhero bravado and the brute force of the Corvette. The new SLK 350 is very promising but it’s slightly similar to BMW even when the Z4 is not having much to recommend.

SLK 350 will have new engine for starters in 2012. It’s not just revised but it has warm engine having 60-degree curve in the cylinder banks in an all new V-6. In the earlier model it has V-8 design of old 90-degree. In the new engine of SLK 350 it has an ideal naturally balanced V-6 with 60 degrees angle, which allows extra room for the turbo chargers to settle down on the block. There is room for turbo version which means it has room for underhood turbos in the lineup. The easiest choice for an inevitable AMG category will be turbocharging because after the SLK55 arrives it will be powered by highly aspirated V-8.

Technical features:
SLK 350 models have .5-liter V-6 top engine in which there is fuel injection with the 12.3:1 compression ratio. The torque is 3500 making the 6500 rpm at 302 hp on 273 lb-ft. The automatic seven-speed will be available even in the U.S. versions. The engine is very smooth having an autobox figure for 5.5 seconds on 0-to-60-mph. There are very less vibrations in the model than its predecessor which will spin happily and then emit intake snarl for delightful emitting because the engine of 5000 rpm capacity pulls out engine ferociously when the shift point is 6800-rpm.

SLK 350 came up in July after its less powerful 250 model. SLK’s dynamics are very proportionate having the lightest four-cylinder. In the US bound SLK’s it had four-light cylinders, aluminum kept the cylinders down for the fenders hood. The opacity in the SLK 350 is altered with push button having whopping steel cap of 110 pounds.

SLK 350 weights similar to its earlier models as told by Mercedes, despite this model is wider and very long.
